Meet your regional creative

Hi, I’m Yasmin, the face behind Prairie Studio. I offer branding, website design, digital marketing and photography for businesses across regional and rural Australia.

With big-brand experience and country town know-how, I help small businesses grow with creative that’s thoughtful, practical, and made for where you’re at.

From the bush to the city and back again

my Story

Vintage photos of a young girl with a dog on a wooden porch. The girl wears a white tank top and denim skirt, and is petting the black and white dog. The photos have a Polaroid style with tape at the corners.

I was born on a farm in Coonabarabran and spent my childhood in other regional NSW towns like Coonamble and Dubbo. After years living and working in Sydney and Newcastle, the pull of country life brought me back, like it does for many of us.

Once I returned home, I realised how many local businesses were looking for branding and marketing support that actually made sense for life out here. They weren’t after a big agency or a flashy solution. They wanted someone who understood regional business, spoke their language, and could help them show up professionally without the pressure or confusion.

That’s how Prairie Creative started; through chats with local business owners who just wanted help they could trust. These days, I work with clients across regional NSW and beyond, helping them build brands that feel right, websites that work, and marketing that doesn’t feel like a mystery.

Two decades of industry experience

My Experience

Woman with long hair holding a laptop, standing beside a corrugated metal wall, wearing a white shirt and jeans.

I’ve spent more than 20 years working across beauty, fashion, wellness and lifestyle. Over that time, I’ve done a bit of everything: sales, product development, digital marketing, graphic design and website design.

I’ve worked inside brands, built my own e-commerce businesses, and freelanced for clients all over Australia. What I learned along the way? Clear strategy, honest advice, and creative that actually works makes all the difference.

Now I offer branding, websites, digital marketing and photography for rural and regional businesses. Creative that feels like you and gives your business the tools it needs to grow.

How I Work

I’m not here to oversell or pressure you into services you don’t need. Prairie Creative is built on trust, practical support and a clear path forward.

When we work together, you can expect:

✔ Real support from someone who lives and works in the country
✔ Advice you can actually understand and use
✔ Creative that feels like your business
✔ Services that are collaborative, strategic and built to grow with you

Whether you’re running a retail store, a service-based business or an online shop, I’ll help you build a brand and digital presence that works both online and off.

Working with Clients Across Regional NSW and beyond

Where I work

I’m based in Coonabarabran and love supporting businesses across country towns, rural communities and small regional hubs. Thanks to the magic of Zoom and email, we can work together online or in person if you’re local. So it doesn’t matter if you’re just down the road or a few postcodes away.

Whether you’re running a hair salon, the local bakery, a small retail shop, or something entirely your own, I’d love to help your brand feel more like you and ready to grow. You don’t have to be local to work with me, just ready to create something beautiful and practical for your brand.

Creative services for businesses that care about what they do

Who I Work With

I work with all kinds of businesses across rural and regional NSW, but I especially love teaming up with passionate people who care deeply about what they do.

Every business is different, and that’s one of my favourite things about working in regional communities. Whether you're just getting started, ready to level up, or somewhere in between, I’ll meet you where you're at and create design that feels aligned, professional and easy to manage.

Some of my favourite projects have been for:

  • Hair and beauty salons

  • Yoga and Pilates studios

  • Local cafés and bakeries

  • Lifestyle, fashion, and handmade product brands

  • E-commerce brands selling handmade, boutique or locally sourced products

  • Trades and service providers like photographers, bookkeepers and consultants

If your business doesn’t fit neatly into a box, that’s totally fine. I’m always keen to hear about new ideas, creative projects, or unique business models.

Fun Facts about Me

There’s more to me than marketing and page layouts. When I’m not working on websites or design projects, I’m usually getting creative in other ways or heading off on a little country town adventure. Here are a few things you might not guess from my portfolio...

  • I love taking photos out in nature, especially birds, wildlife, and the natural beauty around regional NSW.

  • I enjoy sewing in my spare time, whether it’s something useful or just a bit of creative fun.

  • From watercolours to quick sketches, I love anything that involves paint, pencils, and a quiet moment to create.

  • Once I moved back to the country, something came over me and I suddenly became a bird watcher. Personal favourites? The cheeky willie wagtails and the superb fairy-wrens.

  • I’m a big fan of spontaneous getaways to other country towns; give me a back road and a good bakery and I’m happy.
